The Launching of BRANDgfx
The virtual advertising agency model certainly isn’t anything new, but with the current economic situation and businesses looking to stretch their marketing and creative budget, it’s definitely becoming the new “norm.”
When deciding to launch a new agency I knew I didn’t want it to just be another typical advertising agency with excessive overhead, waste, and the self-serving “this will be great for our portfolio” attitude that so many agencies exhibit. I’ve been there. Done that. In fact, I still distinctly remember being called in to work overtime at an ad agency (who shall remain nameless) simply because they needed another body to fill a chair in a client meeting so the agency could look bigger than it was to the client! No, I wasn’t on that particular client project. But they introduced me as one of the team members, gave me a portfolio to hold in my hand, and I left with a hefty paycheck for having just sat there nodding. Yep. Yep. Yep.
I also recognized from my freelance practice that collaborating with niche expertise professionals, rather than simply outsourcing to them, not only allowed me to expand my service offerings, but it also served clients better. With all the new design and marketing tools available, working with experts in their own individual fields provides clients with full access to these latest tools and knowledge databases in a way that “Johnny-do-it-all” couldn’t possibly offer.
And so — a virtual agency was born.

Hi, I found you on yelp and I’m interested in learning more about what your services. I just graduated from acupuncture school and I’m starting my business this March in La Mesa. I need to create a logo, business cards, and an informative folder for potential clients. Like most people, I’m trying to save money and the reason I was drawn to you was your honesty in “The Launching of Brandgfx” section of your web site. So, if you could email me whenever you get a chance, then hopefully we can work something out!
