Hello world!
I like how the generic template for new WordPress websites always have this default “Hello world!” as the sample blog post. In fact, I like it so much I decided to keep it!
(Well, at least the title.)
So – Hello world!

I like the reference to “Hello, World”. This has historically been the first program written in any computer language, and I see how it has morphed with the times to be the leading article in a blog.

Although I certainly wouldn’t say “Hello, World” is the leading article in a blog, it’s definitely the standard placeholder for new blogs. Most people (presumably) delete this placeholder when they start writing their own blog… Glad I didn’t!
