BRANDgfx is looking to hire a Marketing Communications Assistant to join our growing team in San Diego.

What we’re looking for in you:

Are you an excellent multi-tasker?  Are you strong in self-management – able to accomplish the priorities you set for yourself each day?  Are you motivated to learn and discover and apply your new-found knowledge to help customers build their brands and their brand presence?  Then you may be our ideal candidate!  If you’re our ideal candidate, you will be outstanding at meeting deadlines while working remotely, and proficient in a wide range of marketing tools. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong project management skills to successfully collaborate and coordinate with other team members and clients. You will have a sound understanding of the principles of marketing with a drive to stay abreast of new marketing trends and technologies.

What you get to do:

Your role is important to the development of our marketing firm and the success of our clients.  You’ll contribute to multiple marketing strategies for our own brand, BRANDgfx, as well as for our wonderful client accounts.

Specifically:

Marketing Support/Implementation – Create and deploy e-marketing, direct marketing, advertising, collateral/literature, social media/Internet marketing projects, and complete any number of specific tasks for day-to-day execution of various marketing initiatives.

Marketing Communication/Content Development – Assist with developing new integrated marketing/communications strategies, plans, and general or targeted project campaigns. Provide content development, blog and copywriting, editing, content curating, and other effective marketing communications.

Project Management/Administrative – Comprehensively oversee specific account projects and programs from start to completion.  Maintain project timeline, data and asset management, and proactively respond to client requests. Communicate with all involved with regard to status, deadlines and deliverables.

The fine print:

BRANDgfx is a virtual agency, which means we work remotely. As a member of our team, you must maintain your own “office” with computer, software, Internet access, and all other necessary means to fulfill the requirements of this job. You must also have a car, or access to transportation, to work onsite occasionally and attend meetings as required.

A few more must-haves for success in this role:

  • Experience and/or sufficient education in marketing to fulfill required duties; project samples or examples will be requested.
  • Writing skills – the ability to tell a story through a blog, advertisement, tweet, etc.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite software.
  • Familiarity with WordPress CMS administration, various social media platforms, and content/e-marketing software (Infusionsoft a huge plus.)
  • Ability to create, manipulate, and optimize graphics and/or basic graphic design skills.

If you think you’d be a great addition to our team, please email your resume and salary requirements to admin@BRANDgfx.com along with:

  1. Write one paragraph explaining why you’re our perfect candidate using one of the following “voices”:
    1. Barney from How I Met Your Mother
    2. The Dos Equis man
    3. Flo from Progressive Insurance
  2. Write a brief (two-three paragraph) analysis of your favorite ad campaign and what makes it successful.
  3. Provide an example of when you were forced to change priorities or direction.  How did you feel when you were first confronted with this change?
  4. Would you consider yourself to be an expert in something?  What is it?  How did you go about gaining the knowledge?

BRANDgfx is an equal opportunity employer.

We look forward to hearing from you!
